1,000 dead and still counting

Over 1,000 Americans have been killed by the pandemic H1N1 virus, so far.

You wouldn’t know this by checking the CDC website. They’ve cut up the deaths into arbitrary dates. And many States aren’t reporting their deaths to the CDC.

Tracking how many Americans have died from pandemic flu has fallen to a small band of unpaid volunteers who do what the CDC apparently cannot accomplish with a 10 billion dollar budget, count the people who have died from pandemic flu.

I am grateful to the many newshounds and counters in Flublogia, and especially at PFI_Forum, who have contributed to this effort.

My attempt at keeping track of deaths in the US can be found at PFI_Main.
