Today, Mainland China has reported its first death due to the new H1N1 virus… in the Tibet Autonomous Region. An 18 year old woman died Lhasa, population 474,000.
1 death has been reported in Macao, population 549,000.
24 deaths have been reported in Hong Kong, population 7 million.
No deaths have been reported in Beijing, population 17 million.
No deaths have been reported in Shanghai, population 17 million.
No deaths have been reported in Guangzhou, population 10 million.
What bad luck for those Tibetans! Out in the middle of nowhere. Sparsely populated. And still they get a lethal case of H1N1! Meanwhile, the teeming masses of Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou are spared a single death.
Must be bad Karma.
Or something.
